I may have some wheels and tires laying around too, I'll have to look.
It's identical to the one that came with my son's 1/18 ECX Ruckus he got for Christmas. It uses 4 AA batteries and is light weight. Steering and trigger feel nice and smooth on it. It's far from a high end race transmitter but imo it is a lot nicer than the Traxxas tq transmitter.

I'd be happy to help. I can provide front & rear wheels with tires. They are TQ wheels with TQ20 & TQ70 tires. Still lots of life left in them. Let me know where to send....

Does anyone from this site have official “RC10talk.com” stickers that I can put onto the build?

I can donate a new 6-cell NiMH battery so he was a spare. I can also provide some new Dean's connectors if that is also required to mate up with a donated ESC. When your ready for it, PM me an address.

Very cool, guys! I'll try to check back when I'm near my mess of RC stuff to see if I have anything thats still needed. I dont know what to say about RC Junkies... Without being too negative, I had to unfollow that group.

One way that I think would be a nice way for the mom to contribute is by taking him to the track with his car. It looks like there is an outdoor track in his town, although it looks like it could be more suited to 8th scale ( https://www.facebook.com/centralcityraceway/ ) . I got my RC10 worlds car for my 13th birthday, and to this day, a couple of my best friends are guys I met in my first few months of RC racing,. It seems like it might help him relate to guys with similar interests.

I believe one way for the young man to learn in a positive environment is to have him join us on this forum :?:

Radio and receiver are supposed to arrive at my place on Monday. I'll get them and anything else I can contribute out a day or two later.

Would be great if we could get one of the talented painters (i.e. NOT me  ) around here to paint up a fantastic body! :!:
