Hello,
Here's my new project, a Team Associated RC10L Basic Fiberglass Kit #8001
I bought this new incomplete kit several years ago. I think I have all the parts now to build it.

A carbon fiber upper brace was included in the box, i decide to replace it with a fiberglass #8200, i'm looking for a fiberglass suspension arm brace to match with the rest of the car :
Take the one you feel most confortable with without having to recable it
Seriously - Go black on this to match the CWF front bar. I say HEL !!! (two of them, very nice!)

Brought me back to my first onroad car build... This exact kit. We ran in local parking lots (churches, car dealerships, hobby shops) during the summer w/ a PVC track in a simple oval setup. I had a Novak M5 in this car and my RC10CE 6gear I'd race. Then I'd swap tires on the RC10 to run dirt on sundays. Oh, the good times.
I have a fiberglass chassis for an RC10L and it's in pretty good shape. It has a few scratches on the bottom and top but nothing to deep. I've read that you can wet sand it and then clear coat it some how. Is this possible? Has anyone done this...

I have had some luck with wet sanding and clear paint. It takes some time and skill to do it right but you can get decent results.
Here's my attempt at an RC10L fiberglass box art restoration. I started tonight by laying everything out and taking inventory. It looks like I have everything for the build except the body, the correct esc, batteries and of course, a drivers figure....

I'm finished with this project finally. The only thing it needs is for me to take the vintage cells I have and make a saddle pack for it. These pics are a little outdated as it now has a Bolink Porsche 962 GTP body and I threw on some vintage ti...
Until now, my newest AE vehicle was my GT, but I've been thinking I might get back into racing a little bit. I have three good tracks within an hour of me and a well maintained private track a block away. This truck popped up on craigslist today and...

The price on that thing was a steal! I've noticed parts seem more brittle and cheap compared to back in the day as well, I guess that is just how things go right? Great job on hte paint! Those relief cuts are very interesting looking! Glad it works,...
Here is a little story. Almost untrue but it really happened.
The other day I was searching through ebay looking for some parts to complete my RC10 fleet. Dont forget that I live in Germany and old parts are hard to come by. So I saw this NIB...

Finally I got the almost right ipc esc for my B3. Not period correct, but it gets it rolling. I found an old german Pro Formance P2 12 turn motor for it as well.
I have a set of team car shocks I picked up off ebay but, they didn't have the seals in them.... :( I looked through an old team car manual, and the rebuilt kit I have doesn't look like the one in the manual? Any suggestions?

Make sure you de-burr all the spacers and make sure there is no plastic flash in them, it will tear up shock seals and make them not work well.
I just got a minty mint MISB RC10 B3 team kit #9032 for $100 today, did I get a good deal on it?
I got it from a friend who used to have a indoor clay oval race track and a on site hobby shop around 10-11 years ago. They lost part of the...

$100.00 is a GREAT deal. Check ebay to see what some B3 rollers are going for. I picked one up locally this past summer....glad I didn't have to shop ebay for it!
