Question about RC10B2

hello,

I'm new to RC buggies and happened across an Associated RC10B2 with a broken front upper. Since I'm assuming they dont make the parts anymore, where would be a good place to find replacement parts? Also, which parts are interchangeable with other versions?

Front upper? Do you mean the 9130 front top plate? That’s one of the single most difficult items to buy if you need to keep it a legit B2. The B3 piece is easy to locate and bolts right up. Just depends if you want functional or proper for a restoration. The B3 has holes for a sway bar and run about $7 shipped on eBay

Oops. I meant to say front A arms. I believe the part is 9105.

If you are going to run it, converting it to a B3 is your best option, as those parts are available. It will take more parts than just the arms, see the conversion sheets below. Grab the manuals from Associated's website which will give you all the proper part numbers.

If you want to keep it original B2, as GoMachV stated, those parts are hard to find. Good luck!

FWIW, I had to replace a broken front B2 arm a couple years ago. I paid a ridiculous price for them so the B2 was ultimately retired to the shelf and I run a B3 now.
With the improvements AE has made, I think the B3 handles better anyway.

If you're just interested in getting your car back on the track quickly, you can fit B3 arms without doing any mods. I did this for my B2 while I waited for the correct replacement arms to arrive. I think I needed to lengthen the steering links a little as the B3 arms are longer.

You are correct. Another factor contributing to the rarity of B2s is that a lot of them were converted to B3s.
