I finally aquired one of these a few weeks ago. It will do nicely on my XX-4. Luckily I found a Losi XX4 truck conversion too. I can get a mold made of this body if necessary.Mr. ED wrote:http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5188

They almost have the right idea. Too much 1/10 truck in it to make it look scale.

Re: New Losi Bodys Need help
So he is not willing to move without Losi's approval and Losi is not interested. Seems to me, if Losi is not interested, then he should be willing to do whatever we wants. Also seems like a waste for them just to sit there and do nothing. I'm not blaming you, you are just relaying info, just thinking out (in writing).
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Re: New Losi Bodys Need help
that's too bad. It does seem like a silly situation, turning down free money to have him do all the work.
With the vintage race taking place I'm really hoping someone with the skills gets the original x-2 and or pro bodies reproduced. It would be great to get some painted up for a race team.

Losi said they don't care to do it themselves and he still won't do it on his own? Give it to me, I'll do it.bearrickster wrote:Sorry hes not willing to risk it with out losi giving their ok and Losi said they were not intrested. sorry I tried
You know, talk to Dale Epp from Protoform about the HUNDREDS of bodies being ripped off around the globe by other fly-by-night companies—some don't even remove his Protoform logo from the hi-jacked mold—and you'll find out how helpless body companies can be to fight anything in this hobby. I'm not saying that you should partake in anything unethical, but in this case, the bodies are NOT being made or sold by the original manufacturer, and if someone else wants to make authentic reproductions, there should be no fear for anyone in producing them.
Hell, Losi barely cares about their current racer audience, why would they care about something 10 years old?
Seriously. Get me the molds, and I'll have the bodies reproduced.
