What is the difference between the original stealth tranny and the T2/T3 tranny? I have been told it’s the gear case and the diff gear? Is that the same as a Losi XXX-T too?
yes they are all similar in being three gear, but more than half of parts are different. Different trans case, diff gear, rings, idler gear, motor plate. The top shafts can swap; bearings, diff balls and thrust assembly also all cross between versions. This goes essentially for rc10 all the way through to B4, before they had a gear diff available.
I assume it's very similar for losi but that's a completely different company and design.
So what is up with the retrofit trannys? The LHS has quite a few cases and parts for them and was wondering what the advantages they had over a stock trannys. Was thinkin about doin somethin with the Losi rollers I have but before going forward with...

I believe there is a retro-fit tranny manual on vintagelosi.com which has all the part#'s you need to complete the tranny.
Does the Triumph diff use the same components as the Ultima/Optima Option House Diff (obviously excepting the belt pulley)?
In other words, If i source the internal pulleys, case and motor plate - am I good to go??

Nah you'd just have to cut out a bit between the 2 bulkhead screws, the trans is narrow enough to fit between them and leave plenty of meat around the screws.
What Brushless could i run in my rc10t without the slipper melting?
I've got an ez run 8.5t or the RTR brushless out of my B4.1 just dont want anything bad to happen!
On the hunt for parts to do the topshaft conversion so i wont have this problem...

Was just thinking about asking the same question, the gearbox is fitted with the b4 slipper and topshaft gonna try my b4.1 stock brushless in it first then try the 8.5 ezrun. i have a feeling she will fly!
Was bored today and decided to rebuild my 91 stealth tranny. Got out the originals directions and followed them for old time sake. It feels a lot smoother but seems stiffer then my other two..what the break-in time? In any??
