1987 Tamiya Boomerang “Old Boomer”
I came across this gem on Craigslist, and got an awesome deal on it, plus it was local pickup
Never liked the mono shock design in any tamiya, not a big fan of Asymetric looking things....
So I installed a set of Bigwig shock towers, mounted on some 3Racing shocks, raised the wing a bit, added bearings, new MCI decals and modern electronics, and there it is...

The Boomerang is one of the few Tamiya designs I like. That car looks great, but I agree with Lonestar, it needs to lose the bug-eyes on the front shock tower.
Completed projects: CYANide Onroad Optima | Zebra Gold Optima | Barney Optima | OptiMutt RWD Mid
