May be a dumb question, but as it's for 8 mins of max racing can we assume that less aggression on the trigger will make it a reliable, quick motor to use in an everday buggy?
Just took my Kyosho Plazma RA for a spin & without enough traction I can barely get past 50% throttle before I spin. It's a bit over-powered with the TEAM ORION VORTEX 3.5T brushless motor . I'm wondering how it'd do in my Turbo Optima re-re...

A 10.5 turn would be an ideal motor for the optima. Not too fast, not too slow.
So my turbo ultima didn't sell on ebay. That being the case I've decided to redo the old girl into something more interesting. I've uploaded a few photos to illustrate the idea I have in mind. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on a mid motor...

Lucky enough to buy a set of Turbo Optima mid-motor conversion...

Thanks for the picture: it was their logo that triggered my memory.
During the course of my RC10 rebuilds, I pulled this motor from the 'runner' car I traded for. I don't recognize the company / brand but I do see that it is a Yokomo based motor. Can anyone tell me about it? I'd like to see if I can get the specs...

I'm just surprised it has no other markings. At least it's a usable vintage motor.
