who made it?

Post by radioactivity »

I got this graphite chassis a couple months ago. I'm guessing it's Composite Craft.
Seems wider just past the bellcranks and narrower through the center of the chassis compared to a gold pan.
It is not pristine. Some belly scratches, a couple gouges on the top side in front of the bell cranks and extra holes drilled. Nothing really major.
I was considering either a somewhat stock build or possibly modding the chassis for my last b6.1 trans.

so the source is probably composite craft. It looks more like a houge chassis, but they were made by composite craft I believe anyway. Lots of this style chassis were sold by others but made by composite craft. duratrax/trinity/etc.

So I cleaned the chassis up a bit while waiting for parts for another build. Now I've have been trying to check for a body that fits.
No go on Protech,Turbo Mirage, Viper, Detonator and Parma Eagle.
All are too narrow behind the steering posts.
I can't tell if the B2,B3 types might taper a little differently. The new Jconcepts B3 looks kind of close.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best fit for that chassis is an andy's body. A Renegade body is wide up front.

Thanks for the quick reply

Ouch, the Renegade on Ebay is $$$
My JRX Pro body fits fairly nice but I just can't do it.
Thinking,thinking...

you might be able to reach out to Andy on facebook (or ebay) to inquire about an unpainted body. I think he does sell them.

Found the answer to the chassis manufacturer!

Thanks to Dan AKA Sabulatech, oldrc.com, mytimac for sending me this!
After a close inspection of the chassis, shown below, it is a match.
Might also serve as a reference for several Parma RC10 parts.

Yeah, it's the same chassis sold by multiple companies.
