The one in Labyrinth was a groomed Yorkie. Erhar is a Chinese Crested who has never has a haircut.

That will be interesting. Giving them up when they get adopted will be sad, but that's a lot of 'future big' dogs to have. But congrats?

Re: The dog thread
This is exactly the point with fostering.... we fostered probably 20 or more dogs over a few years, and it's great to see them regain their health, especially after being dumped (I'll keep to myself what I think of those who dump puppies). However, the hardest thing to do is to give them up..... be ready for tears there.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Sun Mar 20, 2022 5:32 pm That will be interesting. Great stuff though Jeff.... you're in for a whole world of 'joy' . I think the most we had at one time was six (three of our own and three fosters), and that was madcap....

Re: The dog thread
Yeah they are keeping us running. I suspect the first foster was keeping them in a barn cause they smelled bad- like windows down in the 36* cold on the two hour drive bad. Took two good scrubbing to get the stank off em. They are a huge handful but it is nice to be able to share our house and let our grown dogs help train them.
Apparently white boxers to the older breeders are worthless and usually end up in a bag. These were found in the desert in Texas. Without any colored siblings found with them it appears to be the same type of thing. Really sad, our pups father was a white boxer (I believe they are considered flashy brindles but 95% flash) and he is just gorgeous.

Not boxers, but solid white pits are very popular. Of the solid colors, blues are probably the only more popular.

Re: The dog thread
With boxers, as I’ve been told anyway, there are no white or black ones. They are all fawn or brindle, and if there is white they have flash- these are “flashy fawns” but 99% flash. Black ones are the same way. It’s confusing to me

Re: The dog thread
I wouldn't want my current dogs to train any new dogs.
