You may also want to move the rear suspension mounts that bolt to the chassis to the rear holes. It will bring the rear suspension arms forward on the chassis and align the dogbones better while also allowing the rear shocks to line up better with the rear arms. It cleaned up nicely!

you can't do that with the old bulkhead without notching it out. and if that's something you don't want to do for one reason or another, .....................

I think back when I was a kid I just ground off the forward most hole on the rear suspension mounts. I wonder what the norm was for the majority..
That paint turned out well. Was it a shake-shake can? If so what kind? I need a good paint for some projects I am working on. Also, it has been forever, but I know that is a Tamiya ball end on the rear camber link! This is my first post so a big Texas hello to everyone. This has to be the bestest site for vintage r/c!
Nice car...looks very "period correct". All the original parts appear to be on the car...which is becoming very rare these days.

Well, it "WAS" a nice period correct rare car. This is a perfect example of why these are rare these days. I guess Im old school but to me its just another died black belly button now. Everyone has one!
Some coworkers and I have decided that we want to race RC cars, and we are going to have a concrete slab poured big enough for a small oval track. When we get started forming that up I will get some pics.

As for the battery tie down issue, for all my 10l's I use the Associated off-road battery cups p# 6334 - lightweight & inexpensive so they work great! You can bolt them to the chassis or just use 2-way tape.
