Now, my Order Information page includes the following statement:

"You will be asked to confirm any items still on back order on Apr 12 2022."

Not sure what's significant about Apr 12th but whatever.

It's just the next date in their system when the next automated message will be sent if the item is still on backorder at the time. There are predetermined lengths of time which those automated emails get sent out for backordered items.

So…there’s chat online today that the official release of the rere Mid is 28 Mar?!?! Anyone got any confirmation of that?

I expect even if it is, there will be delays getting kits to distributors and then satisfying orders but it could mean they start arriving on doorsteps in Apr

Seems like there are some kits shipping to customers in maybe Taiwan or something. I’m hoping that the US will get its shipment sometime in the next month or two, but I guess that would depend on the shipping method and port of entry.

Yup, I’ve seen some pictures from people in Taiwan who’ve received their kits today.

At least it shows they are coming…eventually!

For those in Australia these will be arriving soon in limited numbers, I just had an email from a hobby shop here in Melbourne saying that they will be arriving soon and giving me first dibs as I put my name down as soon as I heard the rumor. Paid and waiting patiently.

I'm sure they didn't plan it this way. Likely they have been sitting off the port of Long Beach for a month or more.

I believe it's a systemic problem within Kyosho.
This isn't their first product rollout fiasco.

I waited on the list for three months for a Fantom, I ended up having to withdraw my back order as I was moving out of state. It was two more months before I started seeing people receive theirs.

We live in a society where everyone wants things NOW. I am not going to be posting any future products till I have them ready to go out the door, I am sick and tired of the daily emails “are they ready yet?” “How much are they?” “We have been trying to reach you about your car insurance” ok well I guess the last one isn’t part of this but still
