This is exciting. I am not a big enough fan to go all in and build one of these, but it is very interesting and impressive that this build is even possible. So much dedication and effort to bring it to reality.

Have there been advances in 3D printing methods and materials since the '91 Stealth Car campaign? The plastics look more like the injection moulded nylon of the era. That gearbox looks like machined delrin darn near. Amazing. Please continue to develop this thread!
Hope you're doin' something fun.

I noticed on the GP3D info page it shows the 30 deg kick-up being stated as “moulded”. On the order page it’s said to be a one piece. Which lower chassis came with your kits ?
Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.

It's a 1 piece chassis, the kickup is "molded" in.

Ok that makes sense, here’s where my confusion started. Looking at the pics of the working prototype. I thought when it said molded in it meant the bottom of the bulkhead that the nose piece and chassis were bolted together. So understanding now that the production chassis is all one piece.

The first batch gave you the option of having the built in kick up chassis like I choose or having a separate piece to cut down on costs. Doesn't look like they offer option 2 any more.

I picked up one of these kits too. I'm really impressed with the chassis.

Yes, I reckon there has been lots of improved filaments in particular, over the time...

For this project I selected the materials for "look/colour" characteristics as well as for strength and impact performance etc.

The machined white delrin/nylon look was achieved using the MatterHackers NylonG white filament, for the; gearbox, rear arm mounts and front bulkhead
The Associated 'off-white' nylon look was very fortuitous in timing with the amazing Prusa PCBlend filament being released in a 'natural' colour that turns out to be an almost perfect colour match to the original parts, used for the; suspension arms, battery cups, body posts and other peripheral parts

For the Masami body specifically there is a replica called Protech II from Penguin Custom Bodyshells

And wing is the Yokomo 870C style (msg them directly for the wing, I can never find it listed in their shop!)

My replica Masami body info page is here:

I think most/all other factory drivers used the "RC10 Worlds" type:
