I have an xxx4 front diff that is completely missing out of car and its been slow to find one. From what I read the xxx-s shares very little with the xxx4 but are the diffs the same? Is there any other diffs out there that could be substituted off of anything newer? Not finding much info but haven't ever really looked too deeply at anything Losi ever so not really sure where to look to be honest
Thanx
Todd

Diff is the same XXX-4 and XXX-S. Keep in mind that diff center that's marked with Black lines is an overdrive pulley.
They also shares the same drive cups, rings, balls, thrust assembly as the first gen XXX/XXX-T and even the XX-4 the only major difference being the center gear/pulley.

Cool, perfect for what I was hoping for. Thank you. I think I can scrounge up most of that stuff from parts. Now to dig out the xxx-s

Valkryie RC has had a complete XXX4 front diff (with nice plastic outdrives) on eBay for quite some time now for $50
Thank you. I've seen it but just haven't wanted to spend that $. I might just have to go that route. Its actually been up so long that I kinda forgot about it. It was listed a long awhile ago when I actually decided to pull this out and put it on its shoes again. That happens in spurts with my ambition level this last couple years.
Cruising through the Vintage Losi group on facebook last night/this morning I seen a pair from Spain and waiting to hear back whether he would ship to USA or not but really don't even know what the price was. Aaannndd, I only really need the front one so was hoping not to stock up on parts for something that will never really see hard running duty with me again.
Thanx guys.

Welp, it seems like I no longer have the xxx-s as I cannot find it. I still have the jrx-s but yeah...day and night differences there. Once all the dust cleared I had bought the one from valkarie one and an hour later received a PM from Spain that he would sell me the pair he had so now I'm not sure but "plethora" comes to mind about this damn thing
Thanx for all the responses guys. Now to wait on shipping.

Hey guys just wondering what the support is like for this car. I have a chance to score a great looking XXX4 graphite edition for quite cheap. Just wondering what that support for parts is like for this buggy? Was on ebay and there's only a few...

Parts come and go on ebay. Ive seen lots of stuff for them intermittently.
Stung into FOMOS (fear of missing out Schui) having just sold my 2 Procats, I've started to resurrect the partscat I put aside years ago. (The bits left over from the restos with a fabricated carbon/kevlar chassis and fabricated rear trans casing...

Any updates on this one? How did it run? Cougar steering work out ok? Did you add a belt cover or run it exposed? With my luck I would not get very far with an exposed belt.
I'm looking into getting some of these made and was wondering if anyone would be interested in having a set made at the same time.
This is a 3d drawing of what will be machined out of 4mm 6082 T6 Alloy.

So after some time I've recived my custom alloy front diff hangers. The delay really was Tim who made them has only just started producing alloy parts and was waiting on a new finishing tumbler to make them all nice and shiny and smooth.
So when...
I picked up an Integy Front Bulkhead for a Nitro Rustler #T6755 (aluminum), for $20.99
I needed one for the Stampede VXL 2wd (would have been #T7952), and that's all they had other than stock plastic.
It looked pretty close to the Traxxas stock...

Lowes did not have a very large Metric selection, but I did find a 3mm machine screw (slotted round head).
I would have preferred a socket cap or phillips, but that's all they had. I went with a length that just protrudes thru the show...
