I think the solder tabs definitely need to be used. I think using the endbell screws would just result in a short circuit of the ESC across the sync ring that the screws go into.

Definitely...but I have no idea why they would have marked it that way, it's not helpful.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 5:44 pm I think the solder tabs definitely need to be used. I agree, I don't see any value in these markings. They make no sense to me.

It looks like I'll have to find a pinion gear to use a replacement motor. The pinion is pressed on. No set screw or flat spot on the armature.

Heat it up with a torch and it might expand enough to pull it off. Then overdrill it to slide on a motor shaft (1/8"?) then drill and tap threads for a set screw. That's what I would try, unless those are something common like Mod. 1 pitch or something.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 6:21 pm It looks like I'll have to find a pinion gear to use a replacement motor. I have a puller that might take it off, but I'm going to think about that for a while.

Really got a streak of luck at the moment.
But also means I’m blowing all my budget and there is no progress with the projects.
Really couldn’t pass this never run RC10GT Factory Team Edition. Only bummer are the faded turnbuckles. They turned dark gray for some reason. Can’t complain about it though. Super happy about this find
