Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
This diff gear feels really gritty, like the grease that would've been in there is long gone.
I found the diff lube from my GT kit, but it's nearly empty.
What's everyone using these days to lube the diff?
Thanks!

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
You can still buy the Stealth diff lube but any ball diff lube works. Most of mine use the inexpensive Arrowmax grease, which seems fine.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Many times the crunchiness is from the 6 little ball bearings in the side of the outdrive.

They do still sell it, that's incredible! Thanks @juicedcoupejuicedcoupe wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 3:39 pm You can still buy the Stealth diff lube but any ball diff lube works. Most of mine use the inexpensive Arrowmax grease, which seems fine.

That's exactly what it feels like, crunchy, I was wondering if maybe I'd put flat spots on those diff balls, the way it feels. It was run on road for most of its life, wasn't sure if that might have done it.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 4:09 pm Many times the crunchiness is from the 6 little ball bearings in the side of the outdrive.

I noticed now that Associated makes the Stealth lube, and the black grease, just bought both.
Glad to hear the crunchiness doesn't necessarily mean I burned it up. Thanks for the reply @Frankentruck

Is there a good Team Associated tool set out there? Specifically that has the hex heads?

Found an original tool kit on eBay.
I seem to be missing my plastic parts container filled with AE hardware, from the RC and GT kits.

Still haven't found my container with the original AE hardware and hex wrenches, but I did find this.
With a few other things.
Feels like there is still oil in these.

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
Went through the kit and separated the Kyosho from the AE.
Found a lot of new AE hardware, but not my AE container. Was still stoked to find new E-clips, nyloc nuts, regular nuts, and fresh washers.
Waiting on parts, so bagged everything to get started on the GT kit.
Is there a trick to removing and installing these roll pins, without marring the shaft, or pin?

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
The Avid bearing kit arrived today.
These don't look like any of the bushing that came out of there. I'm guessing the two odd looking bearings go in the Stealth. Couldn't find any diagram at Avid of what this kit covers.

Did I get the wrong kit? Was I supposed to have got just the Championship Edition instead?jcwrks wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 8:56 am Worlds and CE will use the same bearings. If you just want inexpensive Chinese bearings then Avid is very reputable. You can also buy the individual bearings.

The bearings are fine. I'm gonna assume you got the Worlds re-release kit, so you should probably ended up with 4 extra 3/16x3/8 bearings.

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
I bought the kit recommended by @jcwrks, this one
https://www.avidrc.com/flexkit/?kit=849&kitname=RC10+Worlds+Car
These two bearings are not like anything else on the car I see, and they could only fit on bottom of the Stealth:
Do these fit together, and are they directional? Surprised Avid doesn't mention this anywhere.

I am trying to decide if you are pranking us or not. Something tells me you are serious though.GreenBar0n wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 7:32 pmI bought the kit recommended by @jcwrks, this one

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
In the shipping process, those smaller bearings became perfectly seated in the larger bearings. Really gave the impression as a complete assembly. Finally figured it out .jcwrks wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 7:40 pmI am trying to decide if you are pranking us or not.
