Main reason is 100deg is lower profile than standard 82deg hardware which is ideal for thin materials like those used for the thin aluminum chassis.

On the flip side 82deg is the standard for normal imperial hardware so easier to source.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

v3 of my runner build is underway, using a Bezerk RC chassis this go around :mrgreen:
