I came across this on the ebay, seller wanted 200$, so I just put on the watch list. Later, seller offered 125$, so I jumped at it.
What intrigued me was it was a 3-gear similar to the stealth setup, with the idler inline vs more towards top like the case on the right. I figured it might be a 2.0-1 ratio. The case on the right is my RPM from way back when, I had stealth parts in it, and I believe was in my RC10T at the time and should be 2.65 ratio. The idler for the 2.65 is much bigger, and thus reason for the offset in case vs inline like the other case and the stealth. It's been mentioned that the grey was the 2.0-1 ish ratio for oval.
Soo, for easier searching, I created this thread to help identify what this new (to me) RPM trans might be, since it's a white case, and looks VERY AE stealth like. Seems smooth, trans is complete.
Please feel free to post any pics of other examples.

Re: RPM transmission comparison
Thanks to the similar topics at the bottom of the page, I was reminded to check the tooth count on the top shaft. It is indeed 17T, so should be a 2.65 ratio. But my confusion is still there as my new stealth shaft for another project is 20T. My case on the right side I had all stealth components in it and took it all out to put back in its original form for my Cliff Lett RC10T tribute. So, I'm guessing my original RPM case was doing the same job, but the new case is perhaps later design?
So far, I have not seen pics of the inside on the forum, so adds to my confusion.

Re: RPM transmission comparison
Your trans pictured right is an MIP change box trans. New case, diff gear and idler, and gave you a 2.61 ratio.
The new one you have is an RPM 2.65 conversion. Less teeth on the top shaft give you that ratio. They also had a gray one with more teeth that gave a 1.96 ratio.

Re: RPM transmission comparison
Wow, I feel dumb. I always assumed it was RPM, Now in the right light I see the MIP on the side....
Memory fades over the decades it seems... I see those instructions in link say Jan 1993.
