I mean the micros are fun but it's really funny when you realize they don't even have a 1/10 scale Truck anymore, the very thing the mini and micro are modeled after.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Re: Losi hits it out of the park again!!!!!!
Yeah... they really hit it out of the park... foul ball style.
Mini and Micro RC cars are great toys but... they're just that... toys. They could have put any of their brands names on the box, they chose Losi for the recognition. With no 1/10 buggy or truck program Losi becomes a toy brand. How the mighty have fallen.
Glad you're happy with it though, sincerely, mini RC car racing seems to be popular in some places. But, pass for me.

Re: Losi hits it out of the park again!!!!!!
Losi's main competitor now is traxxas. Its all about that rtr bash life. Yeah, I heard they might be working on some new 1/10 buggies, but without a sponsored driver program to motivate testing, tuning, and winning, it'll never progress.
Old school racing all the way!

I mean they do race these, its not as big as 10th scale and 8th scale stuff (no pun intended) so its not completely toy grade and its a good option for hobby shops that don't have space for a big track along with mini z stuff. Its actually a good stepping stone for young folks to get into racing before stepping up to bigger and more expensive cars.Dangeruss wrote: ↑Fri Apr 25, 2025 11:28 am Yeah... they really hit it out of the park... foul ball style.

Regardless, I sure do miss Team Losi pre Horizon when they had a real race program.

Re: Losi hits it out of the park again!!!!!!
Pretty sure the original post is being sarcastic.
I had one of the original Micro Ts they made. I couldn't do anything with it because my dog would go ape-$hit if I so much as looked at that truck.
Edit: Is this one even smaller than the original? It looks like it may be.

Re: Losi hits it out of the park again!!!!!!
I agree, 10th and 8th scale is intimidatingly big and prohibitively expensive for a little kid and even some shops, but I'd put these on the same level as slot cars... compact, accessible, upgradeable, raceable...RogueIV wrote: ↑Fri Apr 25, 2025 1:06 pm I mean they do race these, its not as big as 10th scale and 8th scale stuff (no pun intended) so its not completely toy grade and its a good option for hobby shops that don't have space for a big track along with mini z stuff. 8-year-old me would probably think they were pretty rad.

Re: Losi hits it out of the park again!!!!!!
I think there's a wee bit of sarcasm in Brendan's original post about these. Losi could do something that RC enthusiasts want, something to do with vintage 1/10 scale.... or they can do what they are doing and release these little ones.
Edit: just refreshed my screen and saw Thumb's post.

Re: Losi hits it out of the park again!!!!!!
Smaller than the mini-t which is 1/18 but bigger than the old micro-t which was 1/36. The new Micro T is on a shortened chassis of the Micro B. Really an easy add to their catalog as most of the parts are straight off of the mini b.THEYTOOKMYTHUMB wrote: ↑Fri Apr 25, 2025 1:12 pm Pretty sure the original post is being sarcastic.I had one of the original Micro Ts they made. Re: Losi hits it out of the park again!!!!!!
I remember when the original Micro-T came out in 2006-ish, and there was a "life size" side profile of it on the cover of RC Car Action. The original one had a shock value to it that the new one is missing, maybe because it's not quite as small, or possible because the modern RC market is saturated with micro toy RCs already and we're used to this sort of thing. Maybe all of the above.
Proline's new Baja bug body for it is pretty rad though:

Re: Losi hits it out of the park again!!!!!!
The TLR 22 is dead, as it's just been replaced with the 22X AC and DC 2wd buggies, and there's the 22XT stadium truck on its way as well.

The TLR 22 5.0 2wd buggy has been discontinued for months, and is now being replaced by the 22x buggy which will be released in seven days:

The 22x-4 4wd buggy is still available.
