The more people race them the fewer mint in box examples will exist, driving their price up compared to intentionally collectable versions, of which there'll be more mint in box examples because it was marketed as collectable from the start. It's why a Beetles lunch box goes for $3500 while a Franklin Mint sterling silver plate only goes for $350.

The body mounts remind me of the 10T fronts. Maybe dye them black along with the front shock collar and spring retainers?

Re: The Kinwald Edition RC10 (it is here!)
the 10T mounts are way too skinny. Looks like BK may have used regular plastic spacers and turned them down on a lathe. The screw hole look to go through the entire mount.tommy911t wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 12:27 pm The body mounts remind me of the 10T fronts. You wouldn't happen to have better pics of the mounts would you? Maybe rough dimensions too. I might draw them up in solidworks.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Brian obviously didn't like the red (could be a one-off)? from early-mid 91?
Detroit car from August 91' with new(?) livery. Note the red trans case.- scr8p

The red/black version was actually Rick Vehlow's. My understanding is, Rick threw out his body at some race, Brian grabbed it and asked Rick if it were alright to use the scheme.

Re: Possible Kinwald Edition RC10 inbound?
You guys are now like, fanatical, stalky-like, nerds.

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Re: The Kinwald Edition RC10 (it is here!)
Are they sending these out yet? It's been pretty quiet, my pre order is still "pending" and no information about release dates
If I see RCkicks showing off his one of two(one for him and one for raffle) I'm going to be pissed off.

That would be pretty insane since the UK usually gets a delayed release.

I wonder if they will do another run of these? I haven't bought any of the re-release buggies yet but kind of want one of these now.

Some weird things happen, I came across an RC104WD in Australia at the same time they were starting to hit the shelves in the US.

I'd love to see a list of hardware differences. I'll go off the photos and source what I need for the button head, countersunk, blue, silver and black hardware and try to write down the findings when my re re arrives.
Unless someone already has.

I'll be doing that as much as I can when I get mine and get it on the bench. I know he had a lot of Lundsford Titanium screws. But hey any help would be good. I'll be looking at the car as it was at the 93 worlds.tommy911t wrote: ↑Tue May 20, 2025 1:00 pm I'd love to see a list of hardware differences.
