Not NIB anymore
I finally got around to complete the build that was started by the previous owner.
This is all that was assembled when I got the kit: I realized after getting to the rear shock tower step that they used the wrong screws in the front shock tower.
All that was missing from the first bag were 4 screws and a single upper shock mount for the rear tower. I switched the grey kit mouts which didn't match the rest of the black plastic out for some good condition black ones. I'll post more pics of its libertion from the box when completed.
A special thanks goes out to Rick (bearrickster) for hooking me up with the manual for this build. I know I could build one without any manual or just by peeking at the online one, but nothing beats the experience of reading line by line through a paper manual for a build.
I'm debating doing a full boxart replica type build, Did anyone notice that the junior-T boxart shows wing tubes in the rear bulkhead?

Re: Not NIB anymore
i'd be willing to bet they used the same car for both the junior-2 and the junior-t., and that's why it has the wing mounts. all they had to do was add the truck body mounts and swap the rims/tires.

Re: Not NIB anymore
I thought that too at first, but after looking closer at the boxes side by side I think it is very unlikely. They have different motors on the boxart, as well as different spur gears. also the shock clamps on the front shocks have screws inboard on the 2 and outboard on the T. The front 2 screws on the chassis brace for the 2 boxart are black, while on the T all 4 screws are silver.scr8p wrote:i'd be willing to bet they used the same car for both the junior-2 and the junior-t., and that's why it has the wing mounts. all they had to do was add the truck body mounts and swap the rims/tires.

Re: Not NIB anymore
I have an uncut decal sheet. Unfortunately the body has 3 junior-T logos (1 each for the doors and hood) But the sticker sheet only has 2

Re: Not NIB anymore
That looks sick Anthony! I didn't put it together until now. I forgot yu had that awesome painted body already. This is the first time in my life I have actually wanted a Junior. I never liked them cause they were the "cheaper" Losi's. Not that they are less of a performer, just what I USED to think. Beautiful build.

Also guilty. But this is the basis of the Pro SE that so many of us are fond of. But still.....Doc J33P wrote: I never liked them cause they were the "cheaper" Losi's.
