and in most cases on a 2" max wing, you want to subtract for the 1/2" wickerbill at the
top----------------------you know this really would have been easier if you let me send you
one of my bodies
im still confused about the side boards...???

See the triangular "braces" in the pic, side boards--they keep you wing upright & stabilize the rear of the car
in the straights by keeping the air over the wing

They are just .020 lexan, same as the rear wing, with a 90 deg bend at the bottom to attach to the
deck of the body, you build the rear wing, attach to the deck then add the sideboards

Wow, I haven't seen this build before. Nice job on the chassis, it came out looking like a production unit. Should be a good andling car.

Oh man,,, I have internet rc car forum junkies taking bets as to the origins of my screen name??? I kind of want to ask what the different guess' are! and no Scr8p, my girl is the "bull rider" in our house!

The name actually came from a canoe if you can believe that. I've used the screen name for about 8 years on various sites and boards. Anyway, it started from a canoe trip that a buddy of mine used to organize every summer. I had an old Blue "old town" canoe, I worked at a place that had a signguy on staff and he made me some white Pabst Blue Ribbon logos for the sides of it. I've always been a PBR and Miller High Life drinker so it was fitting. Anyway, the two guys that were always in my canoe with me (I think because no one else wanted to deal with them) and I were always like an hour to two hours later getting off the river to camp then the other boats in the group, so people started calling us the "B team" or the "B team allstars" then I put stickers on the boat and now I'm sure you can guess where it came from.

Well, I suppose I should still answer the bands question, I'm very much into punk and all incarnates of, from 1960's garage, pre punk, '77, new wave, post punk, east coast, beach, power pop, etc. Also very much into obscure underground east coast hip hop and dj's and I throw some jazz and old country/honky tonk for good balance

So I'm not sure if this is within the last five years of so,, I'm sure these three artists have had the most play over the last three though:

1) Smut Peddlers (punk band from Hermosa Beach)
2) MF Doom (east coast rapper/producer/dj)
3) The stooges (they will always be on the list, they are a permanent tie with Generation X)

Nice, I win--(just the way I like it), although I couldn't have possibly predicted the origins of the name--in fact I have only one CA based story that comes close to the canoe one,( Killer story BTW) well it started in San Francisco---and ended in Vegas 3 days later, so it's not really suited for here

Sorry Lowery for the misguided hyjack!

Back to you regularly scheduled shananagans

Hey I see your car has the hpi 2 speed set up on it and was hoping you might know where I could fined a pinion set for that set up. A freind of mine has one but needs the pinion and I know they are threaded and pretty specific to the 2 speed so any help would be great. Very nice car by the way and unique in many ways. Have you raced it yet?
