Off the back burner:

Finally got back around to this one. Found a rear bulkhead and rear brace, dyed them black. I'm keeping the Duratrax shocks and went back to the original tires. I also replaced the turnbuckles with 440 threaded rod. All thats left to do is add 4 screws, paint the driver figure, cut the body holes, and add the spot lights. (Thanks again Charlie don't surf) I'm having a hard time finding somthing suitable for window netting. I've looked all over the place. Any suggestions? Anybody know what they used on the original boxart RC10?

Got the electronics sorted. Some old Tekin stuff and an '85 Monster Horsepower.

About the window netting, this dude sells them pre cut:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Pre-CUT-Window-Netting-Kit-6160-RC10-buggy-body-/280436312801?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item414b4e8ae1

Hope that helps you.....I'm building some stuff too and I came across it on the bay.

Cheers

The decals are from Autographics and I found them on Ebay. Their Ebay store only has the "101" numbers in that style left.

@66intheSky: Thanks for the link but I'm looking for the style seen in the RC10 boxart. I've looked around the house and all over for something similar but have had no luck.

I know, I have been looking for boxart-like material forever, but to no avail. I eventually gave in and bought some of the precut ones on eBay, their good enough. Netting is netting, and unless your making an exact scale copy of the box art body, it's not that important. I'd try some arts & craft stores or something....I dunno....

Sometimes the 10 pound bags that potatoes come in at my supermarket look close to the box art, but they are usually colored blue, green, or something, and usually have bigger squares than the box.......Good luck tho, if you find stuff like the box be sure to let us all know what/where/how we can get it!

Finally found something to use as window netting. It will do. I also added Robinson Racing pinion and Stealth spur gears. Done for now. Until this summer and then I'll finish it up. Still need to cut body holes, add rear body mount, driver, and spotlights.
