MX-4 Period-Correct Electronics?

Post by LTO_Dave »

I'm finally starting to slowly build an MX-4 I got from Charlie, and wanted to know what electronics would be period-correct? Was this car released around '97-98?

I have a Tekin 410K and G-10, and a Novak NER-3FM and NER-2x receiver. I also have Orion 2000, 3300 and 5300 cells. Would any of these be fitting?

Any info from you Yokomo gurus would be greatly appreciated.

410K is too ancient, G10 is about right although might be one year too recent...

Orion 2000's are right too. the others are too recent.

Rx's - not sure.

NER-3FM was in production between 1991-1996
NER-2x between 1987-1994

EDIT: 96-97 Novak receivers were Polaris and Mercury

LRP: ICS ESC and Generation X motors come out mid 1995. IPC ESC come out early 1998.
Futaba: S9402 Servo was in RCCA's "Whats New" in 1996 April issue.

You can also check e.g. this: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=27464. There are many other Sheldon's Hobbies RCCA ad's in there  . I did scan and send them there so members have some idea what come out and when and what was their price as a new.
