I hate this. they just put the body on a new chassis. they messed up the tyrrell p34 the same way. im really disliking this "re-imagining with as many cheap plastic parts as possible" style tamiya is undertaking. a old body on a new chassis just doesnt cut it.

If they really do plan on just putting a Holiday Buggy body on a DT-02 chassis then in my opinion its not a re-release.

it looks like its official, its on TamiyaUSA's page already as a Holiday Buggy DT02. what the hell are they thinking. original wheels and tires would be nice at least.. either way this is one re-re i am DEFINETLY going to pass big time on. I do need a body, hopefully they will have some of the same mounting points for the original..

even if they did a sand rover like this i wouldnt be interested..this is a disgrace lol. it would be like associated re-re'ing the RC10 but just putting a protech I into a b3 kit.. whats the point.

I don't think it's the holiday buggy anymore. but still want to see how they make new one.
and they must put the original wheels and tires in the box if they want to use the name

I stumbled across a couple pics of it today, not seeing this thread. It looks terrible sitting on the chassis.... too bad, could have been a nice one to have. It was my brother first RC ever back in '83. I gave a restored one for Xmas this past year. I think he put it under a case in his home office.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

There's no way Tamiya will rerelease the Holiday buggy on that chassis. It's just hype!

actually, to take an initially good-looking (to some extent) body, butcher it (with holes for shock towers), and put it a DT02.

Tamiya is completely losing it. I thought the neo falcon was it, but this takes the cake.

I'm not saying that the people who are responsible for this should commit Seppuku... But I'm implying it.

really! they could of at least added the original wheels and tires.

i mean i know what they are trying to do hear, use modern tires from another car to save a buck, and not revert to the older tires on the original, but couldnt they at least make em silver? lol

i didn't want one when i first heard and now seeing that i definetly don't want one.

i have a dt02 and it's the worst "modern" buggy i have ever owned.
infact it's been pilfered for parts for other cars. i hate the dt02.
