I guess it's easier for Tamiya to re-re stuff than to properly engineer new stuff. Can't quite blame 'em though, as their re-re stuff is selling like hotcakes. When your old crap is selling like crazy, it's easy to rest on your laurels.

"Vajra" just makes me think "Vagisil"...

Tamiya has really let me down on this one. I was excited at first. I pictured a stretched Avante with a sweet body that resembled the Avante body with similar wheels and old school stlye off-road truck tires. Man was I wrong. Instead they come out with this POS that looks like a toy-grade RC with what looks like a typo price tag. At least the name fits. Vajania.

And this Blackfoot 3? What the F*@%! It looks just as stupid. The body doesn't fit the chassis at all. Those cheap shocks are way too short. They should have just re-released the Blackfoot and called it a day. At least now I'll be able to get the Blackfoot body to use on a scale truck.

The sad part is that these turds are exactly what the kids of today want. All bling, no schwing.

Naming that thing Vajra is an insult to Vaj**as we all know and love. What an abomination!

Tamiya has missed the mark again. It will probably be really expensive too!

So much for the egress... I hope they don't reuse the same chassis as for the Holiday Ugly :?

i dont think there is anyway they will be making the original sand rover/holiday buggy chassis, now that they already have a holiday buggy kit queued up and shipping, its going to have to be the same.

my only guess or reasoning as to why they would update the chassis for the holiday buggy, is that the original chassis was SUCH a huge peice of crap, that in order for them to make a acceptable driveable car, would be to use a different chassis. the original one has a fiberglass plate rear suspension, and micro springs for front absorbers, and it was supposed to be a offroad car?

dont get me wrong i would love a original chassis myself also, i always loved the holiday buggy/sand rover, BUT with the peice of junk chassis and same body, i dont see a real desire for me to buy one to be honest.

i'm so sick of re-releases, or re-mashups where they take the original and screw it up in the re-release with some modern cheap chassis.
im sick of it too, at least they kept the buggy champ and scorcher the same.. wish they would do a super champ
