This must be a mrlexan inspired rc10. A whole bunch of parts and none of them are assembled.

Maybe after all the pictures are taken we will get an extra far away shot of the assembled product.

It's times like this when it's probably best to step away from the RC10.....

.....and take a wide-angle shot.

That explains why they are all like that, I thought my new computer's image software was messed up!

I think I know what to do now

Thumbsanus-

If anyone feels up to the challenge, there are a bunch of clues in this thread to where this buggy might have been raced

Are there bushings in that drag link?

I'm going to guess.... a blue powder coated team car.

Looks too shiny to have been raced. Was this raced prior to all the new parts and blue powdercoat?

A glittery drag link.... interesting.

No, just upper and lower shims

I think my "technical nerdyness" and historical jaunts down memory lane are a bit more than most guys care about

It's was a NIP AE factory powdercoated blue chassis #6304 (1991 release) and a NIP AE factory powdercoated nose #6317. The front tires are Proline prototype non-produced front tire specifically made for the 91' Worlds in Detroit, the copper springs are Yokomo and were also the "got to have" spring at the race and were used on Masami's Stealth Car, The Reedy Ultra series were] also used and won with at Detroit as was the Futaba 113i narrow band reciever. Adding a RCPS Mirage SS, NIP S&K Sanyo 1400 SCR's, and Yokomo TR32 rear tires and TH30 rear wheels, handmade AE universals and misc period correct parts-

So, I'm building what a privateer or lower sponsored qualifier could have run at the 91' Worlds in Detroit
