Re: RPM Ultramolded buggy refresh
The inside of the body on one of the pair I had was under bored, so I pulled a single 1.32 nip out to replace it....to find the drop off tool wasn't used on the thread end, meaning there was a bunch of melted lexan on the threads and the body was worthless.

Wow! I can't wait to see this finished. That crushed VLT brought a tear to my eye. I finally found a set of .56" bodies recently after searching for years.
What body and wheels are you pulling out of your stash for this one?
And no early white RPM ball cups??? You're slackin' on this one.

Perhaps you should be using some SRS Delrin shock bodies!

Re: RPM Ultramolded buggy refresh
that's what i wanted to put on mine but could never come up with a set. those hg bodies are pure garbage, but do look nice on the ultra molded cars.aip47-2008 wrote:Perhaps you should be using some SRS Delrin shock bodies!

Tire selection, technically the exact same tire and wheel combo that's in the July 94' issue of RCCA's Ultramolded review-

And....to illustrate why you don't want to use bushings (discoloration of the new outdrives). I took the tranny apart since it was really stiff and found bushings installed which is cool, but I've seen them discolor brand new parts before, so they're outa here!

Re: RPM Ultramolded buggy refresh
It looked really good as you had it too, but without all the pink accents like the wheels and wing, it just wasn't the same.lowrydesign wrote:Looks so much better!!!
What about the mip lite drives?
One pair of the Lite Drives are for my CW Enforcer...the other are undecided at the moment

I have to agree with Gregg on this one, not taking anything away from it before (it still looked cool) but this just looks flawless!lowrydesign wrote:Looks so much better!!!
Man Reg, I don't understand how you were able to knock this out so fast and keep up your GPA. I must be a bum because I can't seem to get anything done
