the front shock tower only has one mounting point per side.
That's kind of odd too as the lower set of holes were the ones we commonly ran. Interesting
I hate the shock ends btw. Those will have to go

i love that they are re-releasing the car, but really bummed that the chassis is the nasty dark orange. would have much preferred the lighter gold even if it wasn't consistent(like the early cars).

After recently purchasing a bunch of new black RC10 parts, I have some questions about the re-release parts.
1) Some of the black parts have "L" and "R" markings on them. These markings are raised and easily scraped off with a hobby knife. Is it the same for the re-release parts? In other words, are the "L" and "R" recessed in the parts (so they can't be removed) or are they raised on the parts (easily removed)?
2) Some of the molds have gotten absolutely horrible through the years. The battery cups have excess material on them. The two halves of the front carrier blocks aren't lined up properly when joined, and the space for the steering block on the left front carrier blocks is too large resulting in excessive up and down movement of the steering block. I have seen flaws like these on every set of battery cups and front carrier blocks that I've purchased at different times throughout the past two years or more. Are the re-release parts being made from the same molds, or have the molds been repaired or replaced?
Here's a good question I just realized looking at one of the replica threads that is active right now.......what will the sticker sheet look like? Will it have stickers that will allow you to build a box art replica? Or will it have the standard original sticker sheet? HMMMM....anyone know?
I've put a request in the wanted section for some parts I need for a NIB LosiXX build - as a result i've been told of a possible source for some of them, however I need the part number for the Blue Trinity brace that goes across the inner hingepins...

14 years later, I hope he got an answer before this lol.
I don't know if there is a thread about this somewhere, but what are the differences between the b2 and b3? They look very similar to me and I know there was a b2 to b3 conversion kit back in the day.

Seems to be lots of differences but a good read for me as I will happily take a B2 or B3 or a B3 converted as I know these are getting thin on the ground!
CAT XL to XLS, what changed??
I remember when the original SWB came out, then the conversion kit came out quickly afterward, then you could buy the XLS, but I don't remember the XL being available as a kit, but looking on the front cover of my...

Compared to the XLS the XL CAT....
...does not have turnbuckles
...steering bellcranks does not pivot on the brass inserts but on the screw itself (nut on top)
...has rear stabilizer bar
...has zero degree front shock mount
...only has one hole...
Ok, I'm so tired of searching and common words like arm is not recognized. Maybe I'm just being lazy but can we please have a nice picture thread starting here showing the differences in the parts? For instance, I looked on the History page but it...

Cool thanks for the comparison. Now I really regret not getting a pair of those RPM Bullet arms Sheldon's used to have listed. :|
I thought I'd start this thread to show the differences between early to late Coyotes. There was a thread on this but all the pictures are gone. If you have any extra info to add please do so.
First up, suspension arms. Early on the left and later...
I'm new here and I hope this is the right place, I was wondering what the Width difference is between the RC 10 Buggys compared to a RC10t Truck? Are the A-Arms interchangeable?
EDIT: I did try a search but didnt get my answer :?

with a little effort you can get truck arms on the buggy nose plate but it will be very wide:
The trans on the left came off an LXT I had and the right an X2. The outdrives on the LXT look beefier, are they fully interchangable? They look like they do away with the rings the X2 has between the case and outdrive?

+1
There's a Losi parts variation thread somewhere on the board, there are LOTS of variations over the years.
I've had my RC10CE with Stealth since the early '90s and am looking to build one up for my 5 year old. I'm trying to figure out the difference between Stealth, 6-gear, and 3-gear transmissions on listings.
I'd appreciate a quick primer or direction...

Thanks for the reply and welcome message. That clears it up.
It's so cool to find an active discussion about these awesome little machines - there's lots to learn here!
