The M/T is Mickey Thompson. A search for Mickey Thompson scale wheels led me to RC4WD and maybe these are those:

I dig these DS builds, Lobo. Always clean and deliberate!
TRX-1-3, Thank you so much for digging my DS builds.

You are correct! The Mickey Thompson wheels are had at the RC4WD site. They are aluminum beadlocks so no glue required. They are geared towards the crawler market but i've seen some pretty cool ones that can be used for roadcars like this one...You just have to be mindful of the offset some of them have as most of these tend to stick out past the fender.

Also if you want more choices for roadcar projects take a look at RPPHobby website. They have a very cool selection of 1.9 wheels. Noot only do they carry the RC4WD wheels but they have other brands like Gearhead, Incision, SSD, G-Made and Vaterra.

RC4WD also has the aluminum beadlock Shelby wheels which i used on the Gulf Mustang build. Super sweet!

Of course you can always use Tamiya Wheels

Here is an Update to the Chevy Project.

I had finished the stealth gearbox a couple of months ago and today i finished the engine.

Polished the outdrives for that extra detail

Got the duratrax fuel filter on. The location is one of my "Alex touches" and its on all my DS nitro cars.

Spur Gear, slipper clutch and disc brake
Image

The engine is an OS .12 CV and it had a red head. It was big and heavy so i decided to replace it with a Duratrax blue head. Its lighter.

Nitro pipe and header have been polished with steel wool

Looking good

Silicone Fuel tubing has been added

I need to finish the throttle/brake linkages and get the tranny brace mounted

Stay tuned...

Thanks Todd...Had this in my parts bin mixed with some of the nitro pipes...I actually forgot it was there in its little duratrax baggy.

I have another mounted on the the white parts GT and decided to mount the second on this Chevy...that big OS red square engine head, although period correct, is an eye sore for me...back in the day and still today, lol

I only have a few of those Duratrax heads now, but can’t help admire a brand new one. And I couldn’t agree more about the block shape on the CV head.

I was lucky enough to score two new ones a few years ago for cheap...one i used on my white parts RC10GT and the second here on the DS.

Unfortunately the GT's white parts have turned a little yellow  so i may have to take it apart and cleaned them off again

The Joy of the hobby, lol

The end of my 2020 Chevelle DS project.

She has been finished in silver with black stripes. I finished the paint on the night of the 31 and decals were finished right after on the 1st. A nice transition to the new year.

Well done sir! The car looks great.
Kyosho had offered the Chevelle body in red and blue as well but I think silver is the best color - especially with those chrome trim pieces.
Did you notice that they are making an El Camino version as well?
