Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
I'll be building mine without the tub.
The way we did back in the day.
Probably just mount a fibreglass sheet across the chassis.
Then for body, maybe a Beetle from TBG or similar

I have a painted tbg beetle body .. Problem front body mount.. Very rare. For rear clip SRB works
and an Unpainted tomahawk with additional parts for a conversion. Even have the rare spot light, mirror, exhaust and window nets. That will come later

I actually do have a spare Tomahawk (Genuine Kyosho) bodyRaman wrote:I have a painted tbg beetle body .. Problem front body mount.. Very rare. For rear clip SRB works

But I only have the 1 full set of the parts.
I never thought about the front mount, might just make one.
Or I have a Bolink body that might work too.
heck, I'm sure an RC-10 body of some description would fit, or at least be made to fit.

Just ordered mine and a couple goodies for it. Got a livery in mind I've been wanting to do for some time now.

Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
I had the same binding issues in the dogbone, it was hideous. I loosened all the pivots, and re tightened while holding the arms at maximum toe in, then loosened and re tightened the trans. It's perfect now, no binding at allRaman wrote:Having an issue with the rear suspension arms binding. Compared to my original and it seems to me that the dog bones are a little too long.
Manual has a warning showing the dog bone should be more towards axle. Tried that, no success.
Only solution seems to be to reduce the angle the arms mounts.
Any suggestions?

This car is really fun to drive. I'm not over powering it, just having fun. Makes me want to get a second and add all the option parts to that. Maybe

Great vid, thanks for the slo-mo bits...that Scorpion looks like it handles surprisingly well. What a bargain for just a tad over $200.theibault wrote:This car is really fun to drive. Or under $200 mine was $190...dealers have room to piddle a bit
Great vid! The shocks look like the ones of old and are hard to bleed, but felt surprisingly good when done! Those gaskets are a pita tho!!

Yay mine shipped from Tower today.
I'm also thinking of getting some hop ups.
UJs seems like a good idea based on what guys are saying about the dogbones

probably wont make a difference. all you have to do is loosen and retighten- no more binding. When the trans is first put in place it isnt centered, if you look at the original manual it even shows that you have to check the centerline.

That's great news Mike! I would love to see more pics when you guys get them finished. I am anxious to see what electronics people have chose to use. It shouldn't be long and most online hobby shops will be stocking some cool hop-ups and parts.
