They look great! What car are you going to put the Trinity motor in? Or is that another LTO chassis?

I agree. I was racing gear case oval twice a week during that period and if I'd spent half the time studying that I did on that RC10 I'd be working for NASA right now. I'd spend every Sunday and Thursday after race nights tearing it completely down and cleaning every crevice. The transmission would be silky smooth, but I just couldn't afford to put any real power in it. Batteries or motors. It wouldn't have mattered though, because I couldn't drive any better back then than I can now. I wish I'd had a camera back then so I could have taken pics of all those crazy set-ups and conversions. :( Gear case oval cars like these are still my favorites to look at. Great memories! :D

Supposedly the motor in the pic wasn't the motor used at the race-

Phin, 3.0 to 3.2 OD depending on the bead ring being cut out or not with the jellybeans-

Awesome stuff Reg. I have never done any oval racing but would love to give it a try sometime. I did used to own several Junior 2 based EDM cars though. I bought them from my buddy when he quit racing. I am pretty sure he raced them at walts at least a few times.

Long shot here, but by any chance do you still have any of those Walt's stickers? I used to have those plastered all ove all my gear. I dont have a single one anymore. Remember the cartoon Walt sticker? IIRC he was waving and holding a remote in the other hand, glasses and all.

Oh Lord, look at those Walt's stickers. I just need to get back into restoring a couple more cars...need to find a Walts handout motor. lol. I was a poor boy so I ran a used handout motor every year until using the slot machine or green money motors.
