I can't tell you much about his hobby shop other than the fact that it was a full service shop. As for him racing; yes. He parted with all the remaining inventory and only kept his favorite car.

That is one sweet antique car he has!
Like I said from the beginning. If you guys new Jeff personally, you would know that this is great Karma, as it could not have come to a nicer guy, father and provider.
I am still super happy for you Jeff and am looking forward to us running our pancars more and more at the indoor track, and seeing that radiant fly once again!

Your original post and buildup was classic, which echoed the sense I had while reading it ("This isn't happening, it must be a joke!").
Congrats on the score of the decade, can't wait to see updates.

Re: I think I need to play the lottery!
you lucky ******!!!
I had that happen to me with Jeep parts-- the guy was moving & was desperate to get it all out of his house-- & he wouldn't take a cent. He told me his payment was me helping him free up the space & moving the stuff.
every dog has his day...

I know I am new here but I was a racer in the 80s and am trying to restore a couple cars.
I sure hope I can get in on the goodies when you figure out what you want to keep.
Great find!

Re: I think I need to play the lottery!
I started going through all the stuff a little more this evening. Here's a few pictures. It's a NIB Tamiya Newman Haas F1 car with spares, NIB Magnum PCM, 3 boxes of 10L parts (2 boxes are NIP), 1 box of Losi NIP parts, a few Novak esc's and 1 rx and a few Tekin esc's, one being NIB. I also found a blue JG sticker but Ruffy claimed that for his Halsey replica. I will keep checking any JG packages for the blue sticker you Halsey builders want so badly!

If you find anything JG for the Tamiya Hotshot, I would be interested.... and you could keep any stickers in the packages.

Re: I think I need to play the lottery!
Wow... again!
This haul just gets better & better - its so cool (+ exciting) seeing your pics - thank you for sharing
I assume the Technacrafts are Kyosho fitment??
Having had some time to get over the initial shock of finding all this cool vintage stock, have you had any thoughts on what you'd like to keep or pass on - there must be some stuff that must be dream finds for you & you'll be wanting to hang on to?? There might be some parts that may have sparked off new ideas for projects?
I think the thing that makes this find amazing is just the sheer quantitiy of desirable items... normally all thats left of an old Hobby Shop's inventory is all the stuff nobody wanted.... & probably still don't want.
P.S; I'd be interested to see whats in your Losi parts box... dibs if theres a NIP Jrx2 chassis lol!

Yep. Actually there were 2, but I gave one to Ruffy for his replica. This one has no significant meaning to me if you know what I meanscr8p wrote:Mmmm..................... novak 1.
