I know how you feel. I'm also excited to finally have the car I have been waiting on for 23 years (same age of my daughter ). I remember calling AE long distance every month "When would it come out?" . I was always kept in hope by them, and then the Worlds came out three years later. So happy to see this car reaching our hands after 23 years!

Rod beat me to it. The Losi nuts come in a few different shades of gold depending on how long they've been sitting around. My experience anyway.

It's called detail. I personally hate 30° and would have done the 91 car in 25° too (although 20° would be even better for performance!) but since it was an unknown with the 91 car, it's nice to at least be sure what it is with the 89 car. Saying that, I won't personally build each car with exact detail to Masami's cars anyways.

I think it is quite interesting that you say this when most (and I mean most) setup sheets from all the pros on newer cars are not using 20 degree of kick up. The TLR 22.20 can be adjusted from 20 - 30 degree, yet every setup sheet I have seen shows the guys running 25 degree.

I run my B5 and B5M and I have yet to see a setup sheet where the guys ran anything but 25 degree.

Please tell us more about the 20 degree. I am not poking, I just don't understand.

A lower kick maintains more on power steering coming out of corners. The downside to less kick is that it doesn't absorb bumps as well on very rough tracks. Most tracks aren't real rough anymore though. A 4wd car doesn't corner better only because the front wheels pull the car around better although that's some of it. On the contrary FWD cars tend to understeer. Some of that cornering ability comes from low front kick.

Here's a theory for you, the car started out 30' but Masami ended up using a 25' kickup chassis and

by using the same front bulkhead, this is why his top plate has cracked/broken in the pics.

I would like to see Masami's car measured

I know some say this is a waste of time to talk about but I actually find the debate on it kind of fun. Masami tried all kinds of things. Take a look through his website sometime. It's pretty neat to see all the variations on his cars. It wouldn't surprise me one bit to learn that he tried shimming the bulkhead to change the front kick. That could certainly explain how the car was built with 30°, but appears to be 25° in some shots and 20° in another. If Cliff and Curtis say that it was originally 30°, I believe them. Shimming would explain the angle of the broken top deck. Having Niki and Jake build this car with 25° and then offering optional kick front bulkheads would actually be perfectly in the spirit of it and some fun options to play with. At the 91 Finals, Losi had the JRX-XX prototype which was a JRX rear end with what ended up essentially being the XX front end. Losi was playing with altering the front kick on that car so it's conceivable that Masami picked up on this and messed with his as well.

If you watch the video of the Stealth cars in the surfs up section, they are out of control compared to... dare I say?.... The Losi. 30 degrees would have helped with this one section, judging from the video I would say they are running 25 degree.

Not a big deal what it comes with now as it is little difference in how it looks, but I will get the option parts for my runner/racer when they come out!

Losi claims that this advantage was due to the hydradrive allowing the rear wheels to slip a bit more than the AE cars over the whoops. It was the rear end, not the front end, that was getting out of shape. I personally believe it had to do with shock pack.
