wow, good looking RC10. Is that the Wide hot trick front end?
I say run it and enjoy it
Looks like it's been run a few times before. Whats the bottom look like?

Looks like a solid start for either--most of the parts you need to "shelf" it are easy enough to come by with a little work. Interesting BME or Hot Trick front end

so far without seeing the bottom of the chassis I say fixer upper. If the bottom has alot of scratches then finish it off and run it. You can always find a NIB kit or a NewBuilt one to shelf if you are into that sort of thing.

the beauty of these cars is that you can fix them up, AND run them. Just put some chassis tape on the bottom, and don't go crazy running it too hard or with too powerful a motor and she should be fine!

nice car to start with.

the only thing that bothers me with running them nowadays is burning up tires, but moving to 2.2" tires is not too difficult, and then tires are readily available.

With the bottom less then perfect I would make it a runner, however it's in very nice shape I would put some kind protection on the bottom of the chassis and giver hell!!! That way you keep it looking as good as possible and can enjoy running a good looking RC10.

i like the shelfer idea..if you really want to run it you can get a beat up chassis, nose plate and most other used rc10 parts cheap off ebay.. they still sell new front shock towers. heres a good deal http://cgi.ebay.com/Associated-Fr-Shock-Strut-RC10-2_W0QQitemZ350317842014QQcmdZViewItemQQptZRadio_Control_Parts_Accessories?hash=item5190920e5e
