22 years after buying my first RC10, I just bought a new t4, (factory team edition). I was wondering if there are any mods to make right away. Stuff to do as I'm building the kit, stuff that is a pain to do later on, or parts to replace because they are sub-par in the kit.
stay away from the alloy bling parts if you are planning to race. also grab some extra wheels and tires so you have some options.other than that the truck should be pretty impressive right out of the box.
I would boil the body mounts to make them more flexible. I would also pick up extra rear body mounts, the T4.1 frt arms (stronger), 30 degree caster blocks, RPM Ball Cups. If you would like I have a pretty good starting setup for that truck. Also on another blog site there is a guy called Cheddar Bob who sells a stl or alu anti-squat block for that truck (it works awesome).
Can the RC10T4.1 run in low to medium grass? My Goldpan can't on my Castle Creations sct system, so ie as wondering if the T4.1 could due to its long arms and shocks and bigger tires. Will it just fish tail around the yard or will it actually be...

I've had a couple of threads around here filled with my cars issues but they seem to be some hard ones to fix. I'll try repairing the diff and giving urban new washer and Ill play with the shocks and weight distribution and see how that goes.
Hey guys, some who've seen my previous posts may already know this, but I just got into the hobby back in December when my son and I got a couple of Traxxas RTR cars. I'm a tinkering junkie, so I could not resist the temptation at a garage sale to...
The last of the Associated rear motor trucks......
it will basically be a mirror build of my other truck without all of the extra goodies.
I started with a cheap low use T4.1 RTR.

I've got a Jconcepts 10T F150 body that I bought just before the more authentic version was released. I was never really a fan of the modified nose so I bought a couple of the authentic versions, the f150 version just sat in my pile of bodies. I may...
I've been waiting on a day off for the past 6 months to sit down and really enjoy the build.
My camera is broken and can't focus so these are the best I can do.......

Thx for the nostalgia! It takes me back to my '05 build. I still have it. I like how you mixed old and new, then topped it off with an original body. Looks sweet.
Was given a used t4 today.I am a buggy guy...but it's in such good shape..it's hard to not go over it and make it a runner.
It has no body and I am having a hard time finding info on what (if any) available bodies
fit it.
Can someone point me in...

Hey...sorry I was having log in issues.
Standard stadium truck body.
Nothing crazy modern...just something that fits the chassis mounts well.
It may all be a moot point though because I lost the right rear body/wing mount and I am not paying $25+...
I recently bought an RC10T4.3 stadium truck and I am extremely happy with it, it runs super smooth and stable.
I was expecting a little bit more speed (just a bit more) but since it’s a RTR combo it came optimized with gearing for...

Great to hear you're back on track with the ESC recalibration. Keep in mind that, all else being equal, the higher you gear up for top speed, the slower your acceleration will be. You can compensate for this somewhat by adjusting your ESC Punch...
Howdy all!
I'm in the process of putting together my first Factory Team T4. I got sick of the nitro world, so I am going completely electric. I've got a Velociti 7.5 with a 4800mah Orion battery coming tomorrow and I have a few set-up questions for...

The Novak instruction sheet will let you know what size pinion to run with that setup. It should at least. I have a 5.5 in my FT-T4 and the Novak instructions had that info. Isn't the 7.5 more for on road cars? I can't remember.
I've got a T4 that I built a long time ago and I've thought about breaking out again and using however RC world has changed in a big way. Now tires use the setup that Traxxas was using, brush less has taken over, and we don't have to have crystals...

I bought a T4 last year and have replaced the electronics with a brushless system for running at the local outdoor track. I've had no issues so far sourcing parts from amainhobbies (search for associated t4 ) or eBay. I'm pretty sure amain has the...
