Spares to keep in inventory?

Post by sneako43 »

With a craigslist purchase of a 10T I found this site and it has been a great resource. Most parts are readily available but I am curious what "must have" items I should keep on hand for the future? I would rather stock extras now than deal with the Pirates on ePay!

Thanks guys.

Keep your rear arm mounts. They are not available new any more. A lot of the other parts can be found through Tower Hobbies.

If you run across these Associated parts, buy them all:

Nose plates, chassis, motor plates, felt gaskets, rear arm mounts, gear covers, rear bulkheads, front hinge pins and any steering setup (stock, houge, MIP, etc.). Any old school aftermarket parts should be included too.

Other parts to include would be B3 wheels (for using 2.2 tires) and B3 CVDs. Someone always wants these.

Thanks for the tips. Luckily, the last two hobby shops I have been in have both had old Associated parts marked 50% off! 'Factory Team' stuff, too. I picked up every piece that was marked B3 or 10T (I have both).

I'm pretty excited to start this rebuild and having some back-ups is a bonus.
