What transmission is this, T2, 3 what?

Post by RCveteran »

This was listed on Ebay as T2. It is not as I am comparing to to a T2 I just scored as well. It is also not the same as my B4.1 but the chassis recessed part is about the same size and shape as that, rectangular vs. hole in the T2 chassis which is square. It's all new and rebuilt nice but what is it?

Are the internals the same as a T2? The T3 does not really appeal to me. I like the T2 as the last aluminum one.

No, the top shaft is the only similarity. The T2 is the same internally as the GT ( and the T4 )
but the B2/B3/T3 were all their own.

The T2 has a 2.60? I thought it was the same as the T3...

Thanks for the info!

Yup the T2 was a 2.60, same internals/diff halves gears etc as the GT- the T3 was the B3 tranny 2.40

Is there an advantage to using a T3/B3 setup in a 10T gear case? Would it fit?
