Just wondering if anybody could tell me exactly what the width of these bearings needs to be for these carriers. The stock 10T carrier bearings are 1/8 wide, but nobody seems to make 1/4 id x 1/2 od x 1/8 wide bearings for RC applications, only 3/16 wide. Anybody who has these carriers installed and could measure the width of the bearings on their truck or knows how wide the RPM bearings are would be very helpful.
the bearings are wider than the smaller ones, but they are placed closer together so the outer thickness of the assembly remains roughly the same. This means that you cannot use the stock axle spacers between the bearings.
It has been a while since I did it, but I believe I used a single spare 3/16x5/16 bearing and 2 3/16 thin axle shims as a spacer.
using the spacers between the bearings prevents side-loading the bearings and allows you to tighten down the wheels without worrying about binding.
I got a pair of RPM rear hubs on a RC10DS from treehugger. He had 3/16 x 3/8 bearings in it, but if I kept these bearings in and drove the car, the complete assembly would fall out! As the hubs have no inner bearing retainers! In other words, the...

Thanks scr8p, I ordered some from Boca Bearing. I hope they are right!
So I have a set of rear rpm carriers for RC10T/GT and im gonna get the bearings but AvidRC gives me 2 options, 3/16x1/2 metal and 3/16x1/2 revolution which are better?
And I have an original white stealth tranny and dont want to dye it black, can I...

the revolution bearings have a rubber sheild on one side and a metal sheild on the other (if i remember correctly).
Thats correct... I just bought $40 worth. The rubber side goes towards the elements.
claims that rear toe should only be corrected by changing the arm mounts, not the hub carriers. (Note that they stole the picture of the RPm 0degree hub carriers from my auction)
I know I have on the GT just reversed the hub carriers...
