red shock collar replacements/alternatives?
is there a suitable replacement or retrofit for the spring collars on the vintage red shocks other than zip-ties?
I picked up a used car with 3/4 collars completely broken, and the 4th well on its way out.
Thanks!

Re: red shock collar replacements/alternatives?
Red Kyosho shocks are 10mm; the CRP ones won't fit. I'll be selling custom nylon replacements in about a week. Here's my initial thread on it: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=20293

Re: red shock collar replacements/alternatives?
As notorious as the red shock collars are for breakage, the black ones found on the Option House gold shocks aren't much better. I'd say more than 75% of the ones I've received from used shocks or parts lots were cracked, too. Associated RC10 white collars will work as substitutes but are just about as hard to find. ![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)

Re: red shock collar replacements/alternatives?
it'd be kinda pricey to get 4 of them, but this hpi shock parts tree has one clamping collar per tree (right side, in the middle). just as another option......

Don, thanks for the offer, but those are too big.
I will hold off on buying anything until ROH73 has the clamps made.
for now I am rocking zip-ties with fuel tubing. Not pretty but gets the job done.![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
