Hi All.
Sorry to ask but i'm not familiar with Schumacher at all.
I'm was doing some laps with my Top Cat trying out some different set ups and i noticed a humming from the transmission . more so at top speed not under acceleration . At first i thought it was diff slippage but it isn't from what i can tell as it hums down the straight. It's not belt slippage either ..
Before i tear down the rear end to check it out just want to know if this a common whine.
Thanks.

Depends on the whine. without hearing what it sounds like, i can only recomend that you pull the tranny (after all its not that much work) and take a look. Sounds however that there may be something in the belt pulley (debris), spur/pinion or a bad bearing. -Jeff

Thanks Jay Dub.
Just inspected the spur & pinion. Was all ok. Changed pinion and the whine was gone. So the pitch is not quite right i say.
Just curious where can i get a new rear belt from. ??????
Thanks Mark.
