MMV Truck challenger****10T build/finished
Ok so I started the build with this truck for donor parts http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=18347
Dissambled the whole truck cleaned all the RPM parts in dawn and cold water and did the peroxide on the nylon parts.Pretty much built the whole truck with a brand new bag of associated 10T blue screws and took plenty of pix during that build. But when it was done it just looked too plain.Tore it all back down and started over.Used countersunk washers and allen head screws. Also forgot to take pix during this rebuild, was so in to the build just plain forgot. Did kind of a retro paint job I have no patients for paint and I used to work in a body shop. Didn't notice untill I got home and out the bag the body is for a GT.
I apologize in advance for the crappy cell phone pix. Hope you guys like the truck,I do.Can't wait to fire this baby up!
parts list:
B stamp chassis and nose plate(not mint, regular scratches on the bottom)
stealth transmission with B4 topshaft and slipper
RPM parts,arms front and rear,rear bulkhead(new),front c-hubs and steering blocks,ball cups,front bumper
T4 cvds (go right in with the stock rear hubs)
associated turnbuckles 2.62 (cut them down for the RPM ballcups)
associated wheels
associated ds body posts
dynamite countersink washers and antenna tube
j concepts rear tires
proline front tires
Trinity front shock tower
savox servo
kimbrough servo saver

All the nuts are associated the screws and countersunk washes are made by dynamite. I've gotten lucky and found associated blue screw sets for the 10 and 10T at my lhs.proffesso wrote:looks great, where does one obtain those screw / nut sets btw?

Re: MMV Truck challenger****10T build/finished
WOW! I put my mamba setup in the truck. 5700kv motor 81 spur and 23pinion. Dialed the esc down to 70%. I had to tighten the diff and slipper up cause it just spun. The truck runs like a scalded ape. I'm guessing atleast 20mph. Street runs are just boring so I didn't run the pack down. The motor scorching hot along with the battery connectors. Wheelies when it's punched and gripping. It was fun but gets boring fast. All the rc tracks here in Austin are either shutting down or are shut down. When I can afford it I'm gonna put a Tekin rs in it with a 17.5. Any suggestions on pinion and spur sizes untill I can get my new setup?

Awesome job Kayne! Great use of blue parts, but not OTT which is easily done. Shell looks really nice too, job well done!!
