Anything Halloween!(final update of 2011 added)

Post by THEYTOOKMYTHUMB »

Halloween is my second favorite holiday (next to Christmas). This time of year begins my 8 month slow down for work (you can only work so many 12 hour days  ).

My 5 year old daughter has been BEGGING me to take her to a haunted house so we go to the Zombie Farm last night. 6:00-6:45 "no scare". The look on her face pretty much says it all! The second we stepped thru that door she jumped into my arms and we had to do a 180! Ever grabbed a 5 year old girl's hand with a sweaty palm??

Whoops! Almost forgot. Left the Zombie Farm and she was feeling pretty low so I took her to one of those Halloween Super Stores and we found these body part gummies. All better... :D

I had a box/coffin of those gummy body parts and they tasted better than I was expecting.

Not sure if anyone else is into horror or not, but I've been a fan ever since I could walk. The Paranormal Activity series is among the best of the non-slasher horror films ever(and I've seen most). Turn the lights out (as you should with all horror films). :D PA3 looks as promising as the first 2. 8)

Did the Colts seriously just lose 62-7? That may be the scariest thing I see this Halloween!

Why does the camera footage say 1988 but I see nothing 1988 about this? Maybe they're using an old VHS Camcorder and just never adjusted the date. :P

my wife and i are going to stay halloween weekend in sleepy hollow. (headless horseman's town for those who don't know)
we have a room at the tarrytown house, kinda like a castle.
stuff to do:

carnival @ the home of washington irving (who wrote the legend of sleepy hollow) during the day.
@5pm retelling of the story by actors @ the old school/court house.
after that there's a jack-o-lantern festival called the blaze festival @ van cortland manor.
after that a haunted trail that follows the path of the headless horseman.

should be a great time.

Yes, you can say that.

I had a similar experience when I put together a Parma Hemi engine. It made me realize I'm not cut out for plastic models.
