Composite Craft Worlds build

Post by fastang »

Heres a car I have been gathering parts for for the better part of 5yrs. As you can see its not a real CC chassis. I have a real one that is beat to hell that I used as a template to craft this one out of a different NIP chassis I had laying around. Its has about a half inch longer wheel base over the CC chassis. I know who has a NIP CC chassis for sale that I want badly but im about to start a new job so $$$ tight right now. It will be mine some day! The rest of the car is all NIP RPM stuff. Theres a few things I want to change like the tie rods and ball cups and I'd also like to get some pink Yokomo wheels. Im also not sure about the rear shock tower. I dont know what one is proper for this car but I dont like the way this one looks.

Hope you guys like it!

looks good dude.

the holes that you have your inner front ball studs in are actually the holes to mount the chassis brace for the ultra molded chassis.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I knew about the ball stud holes. I did it this way because I don't have any shorter tierods. It will be changed asap! Im going to try to find some tecnas or have Jake make me some.

They might be trinity rods? I got them 2nd hand. They're aluminum.

The uni's are Duratrax gold. They might get swapped out for some CVDs.

A Q for Reg and scr8p. I have front and rear RPM bulkheads that I wanted to use but the front doesnt have provisions for the top deck mount and on the rear the holes are different for the shock tower. What are these units for?

The front RPM bulkhead is for the ultramolded car only, you can use it of course, but like you said- no provisions for the support.
As for the rear again, specific to the RPM rear tower for the ultramolded car. ( unless you accidentally have the 10t bulkhead )

you can use any rc10 rear tower with the rpm rear bulkhead. just drill 2 new upper holes in the tower to line up with holes in the bulkhead.

front rpm bulkhead, not on that chassis.
