What year?

Post by Sylvain »

Here is my RC10 I bought recently.

From what I've read on this forum, it seems to be a "Cadillac" RC10. Am I wrong? Any idea about the year?

looks like a late edinger to me judging from the small shock seals and thicker rear shock tower with only one set of holes? but i cant tell 4 sure because the pic is a little blurry

So it might be older that what I was thinking.

I thought the bellcrank was more "Cadillac" than "Edinger"

I've read people uses peroxide to whitening parts, is this a good idea?

The milled tower rather than the stamped towers and the lighter gold make me think earlyish- does it have a A stamp punched from both top and bottom ie- not a reverse dent from the stamp

I would guess early Caddilac- my late edinger and mid edinger both have impressions stamps on both sides, where you have the outward portion of the stamp dent showing.

Thanks for that precious information, it is appreciated :) I had many AE vehicles in my life, now I just found a new passion for RC.

Now I have to disassemble the whole buggy and make it extra clean.

What do you guys make to whitening old yellowish parts?

both my late ediger nib rc10s have the same chassis you have.. And I know for a fact they are edingers because the boxes were sealed when i got them...Also the box manuals and motors all have the edinger address.....except one of them had the manual with the caddillac address but everything else said edinger (maybe they were in the proccess of switching?). Any Ideas on mine then???
