Parts ID...what are these??

Post by billetproofcustoms »

I recently aquired a set of 2.2 buggy rear wheels, they fit vintage Rc10 rear perfectly, so I assume they were made specific for the RC10? I would like to use them, they are NIP, but no inventory/mfg card, so I have no idea who made them, they are a bit unusual, they have a clear "dish" that snaps into the wheel, and is held in place by the axle nut, kind of cool, I guess you could paint the backside of the dish if you wanted a colored wheel? or the inside of the wheel? The wheels would have sort of a deep clearcoat effect?

Can anyone ID these?? should I be running them?

Thanks

I have these on my Losi XX. I also have a similar type of wheel on my Kyosho Pro-X. They were stock with that car.

yeah, like these guys have already mentioned they are Losi wheels. The good part is the lexan cover. I have 3 or 4 sets here that are missing the covers and have always wanted to get around to try to make something like that. They hold up really well unless you let the wheel nut come loose and then its game over  . Might not have to worry about that though if its a shelfer.

Thank you Reggie! This car was resurected from a $35 ebay basket case. These are the original rims which were near perfect after removing the paint. I actually have a repop Pro-X shell to put on it but The paint came out so nice on the XX shell I haven't had the heart to change it out.
