Been feeling a little Blue
I have always wanted a Blue RC10. so I have also been wanting to build a new/old RC10 I just got my chassis back from my friend who made it blue for me. it looks GREAT!! its a very used A stamp but its going to be a runner anyway but I love it. I want to find a clear tub protector. I know someone on here was makeing them but I cant remember who? so if you can help please let me know.
well I have a stock and truck nose and set of Jake's arms, B4shocks, T rear tower, B4 upper shaft and slipper set up. its not going to be done for a while I still need a lot of little parts and the PayPal account is empty right now but I was excited when the chassis came in.

Wow that looks great, how does one go about changing the color like that? Is it dipped or something?

Re: Been feeling a little Blue
I send it to a guy I know and he strips them and reanodise's them. He can do what ever color you want hes going to do my DS, in a nice dark purple as soon as I can get it to him. if anybody wants something done I will give you his info and you can deal directly with him.
I will say the nicer the parts the better it will look. I wish I took a picture of how bad this chassis was be for it was redone. most people would have just through it away. I cut down the sides to remove most of the damage and sanded the hell out of it. . but their are some deep scraches still in it, but its going to be a runner so I wasnt really worried about it to much.

Re: Been feeling a little Blue
Gary I did sand it like I said most people would have toss this chassis in the can. So I didnt feel so bad cutting it up. I am still thinking about sending it to Jake to mill it like a Worlds tub. but the cost on this build is getting a little high already. I still need to buy turnbuckles, wheels tires and CVD's. I just bought a viper body last night. I just need to decide to use white or Black parts. the plan was going to be black but with the blue it looks good either way.GJW wrote:very nice rick, wasnt worth sanding the chassis bottom first to remove the scratches? real deep were they? what's planned with the build?

Re: Been feeling a little Blue
Harris did a blue car with black parts and it looked great! Don't forget the chassis stiffeners if you going to race it! Get building! if you have any of the original xcellorators left they fit that chassis nicely

Re: Been feeling a little Blue
Thats a beautiful job on the re-anno! Especially since you said it was so bad most people would toss it. Could you give me his info? I have a tub I would like to bring back to life.
Thanks.
& can't wait to see it come together!
