Finally got a B2

Post by GoldRush »

well after offering reasonable offers to a few peeps on ebay for there extremly overpriced rollers or even rtr's i accidently stumbled across this partially mislabled gem not to far from me here in california. if i beat out a member here on the site im sorry...its kill of be killed. here is the link of what im waiting to arrive to me. http://www.ebay.com/itm/190705033055?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
do you think its a bad twilight zone episode for team associated to be re producing a buggy from yesteryear that is capable of beating their latest and greatest production buggy?

Looks like you got if for a decent price. :) I remember racing against these with my TCP in the late nineties. Should make a great project car 8)

looks good. You can tell if it's a team buggy or sport by the rear axles, and bearings, since the seller says 'aftermarket shocks'.

1/4" axle and bones/bushing-sport.

maybe the guy is mistaken and you have a team car, which will have bearings and universals as well as the hard anodized shocks.

I'm definitely hoping it's a team car but just glad to have a b2 in my collection regardless

It's a 8000 kit, hard anno shocks, alloy caps, TQ wheels with Proline Flat Stubbies and Edge Front tires, universals and maybe even a salvagable Stealth II shell-

Looks like it's been well run!

Great find! I remember when the b2 came out. I wanted one soooo bad. Been browsing for one and I have also noticed they are outrageously priced. Wonder why

im hoping the black drips that have been started on the body are able to be removed and im hoping the body is salvageable. ill know more when i recieve it. i have a printed out manual and if its the racer kit(team) then it would be a 9000 designation. i ordered the correct wing kit for it according to the manual i have. im looking at the viper body and wing kit from team blue groove or just a stock repo body. ill post up some pics when i get it in my hands and clean it up. really excited to have it in my arsenal of vintage rides.

its all good...so many part numbers rattling around up in your head it was an honest mistake. the more i look at the really limited pics the more i lean towards the 9000 kit...the carbon parts had a different sheen to them so its sometimes a dead giveaway for for the more optioned kits. should be here by the 30th. im gonna have to find a good set of rear tires for it for sure. i dont remember if i can use modern rubber on these wheels(2.2).

The 9000 didn't come with carbon parts, they were option only- the never sold a "carbon" version as I recall-
