JC Racing wheels, need some input

Post by spyderrc10gt2 »

I want to get the white rims for my RC10. It's 8.25 GBP, Does paypal convert currency? Does that price include shipping to USA? Has anyone had experience with them shipping to P.O. Boxes? I couldn't find an e-mail address for them and they will not respond to messages on facebook. Thanks

Hi

Paypal does convert currency - not always the best exchange rate though!!

I've had no problems dealing with them - but I am in the UK.

You can contact them at [email protected].

If you don't get a response, I would be willing to forward them to you at cost.

Thank you Finman. I really appreciate the response and offer to forward them for me. They ended up responding to my facebook messages this morning. I will be ordering a set of rims along with the '1/10 tyres 2wd Ribbed' for the front, already have some 2.2 tires for the back. This car will be only used on concrete so hopefully those front tires will be fine for it

Received my rims! Was going to put some road hawgs ll on them that i had for my rc10gt, but they look stupidly way too big for the buggy. Anyone have a link for some on road rear low profile tires?

Perhaps the Traxxas Anacondas for the Bandit would fit your needs:

They make matching fronts too:

Disclaimer: I have yet to try them myself

The outside diameter of the road hawgs is 3.5in and the outside diameter of the anacondas is 3.3in so there wont be that much of a difference between the two. When i get a chance i'll post a pick of what i'm using now and the road hawgs next to it

Edit: here's the pic of the size difference

You don't mount GT, or any truck, tire on buggy wheels. Truck tires are 2.2 inner diameter but are much wider than buggy tires.

The Anacondas I think are too short inside for JC wheels so you may want to look at the Pro-Line Dirt Hawg buggy tires instead.

I have dirt hawgs on my JC wheels and they are great for bashing and very long lasting too.

there was a thread around here somewhere about optional tires for something or another. In that thread IIRC someone had used some tires from a MERV like those would be to use on a rim. Without being able to locate it right off hand only thing I can say is find some specs and try it.

Yeah the 1/16 E-Revo tires should work on the buggy rears but they won't work on the fronts. I don't think a Road Rage tire is currently made that fits the JC front buggy wheels.

Maybe a little late to suggest it now, but if all you're interested in is street bashing you could convert to a B4.1 hex axle in the front and run touring car wheels/tires.

Hi, those tires on the rear of your car look nice...are there fronts available to match?

Guess I'm a bit too late here but if you wanted to see what the anacondas look like on those jc racing wheels check out my avatar pic.

If you check out jc racings web site there are better pictures in the gallery section...

http://www.jcracingproducts.co.uk/gallery/vintageandretro/

These wheels are what got my RC10 project off the ground...first parts I bought and very glad I went with them.

The neon yellow they offer looks radioactive!!
Back at again because of a phone call..."Hey, how do you adjust those old Novaks?"
I have a RC channel on YouTube too...take a look at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuAS9eDBj_wSIyl4JakUIzA Thanks :)
