I have my XX buggy (original, not CR) and have found that 22 front wheels are too deep, rubs the steering ballcup/knuckle. XXX rears also did not fit without some 'love' given to the rear carrier, it was too tall and rubbed. (I could very easily put hex on there now to use B5 rears - not 22 rears - the 'nut' hole is too small for the 10/32 nuts)
So, with the rear solved with a touch of 'love', what are the options for the front end? I'm going to investigate the XXX front spindles and just look over the differences and see if is really that simple.
What have you guys done?

I fitted xxx wheels front and rear to this xx. The fronts should fit just fine. I used trinity xxx rear hubs as the standard ones rub against the wheel as you mentioned.

I found the 22 front wheels are a touch deeper offset than XXX...that is where my problems are at. I did some knuckle trimming and they fit now, but the front is narrow. I have ideas on how to fix that, just no time

I see the Pro-line front wheels quite often for cheap including my own hobby shop!

Those are great, but if I am at a track in a pinch, I want to be able to use off the shelf items. I'm being stubborn too
