Post by joel45acp »

What causes toe in when the shocks are compressed? This is driving me crazy. The RC 10 is difficult to drive becuz of this. Thanks in advance.

Bump steer is caused (basically) when your steering rods are not parallel with the upper and lower control arms. A pic would help so we can give you an idea of how and where to shim on your particular setup

If its a short arm car there isn't too much you can do, if it's got widetrack arms on it and caster blocks over 15* then you need 1 washer under the outer steering ball stud, 25 & 30*, 2 washes-

you gents are correct about a Lunchbox. I have a LB and I'm glad for the miniscule amount of bump steering on the RC10 compared to the LB.
